Appearing once in each doubleheader, Lalli earned decisions in each and every outing, two wins and a save. Her week began with a win at Yale in her seven inning start, in which held the Bulldogs to just three hits and two runs. On Saturday at Holy Cross, she came in relief versus the Crusaders and earned the save with three innings of one hit softball. Lalli capped her week with the start in Marist’s home opener on Sunday versus St. John’s. In the complete game victory, she held a potent St. John’s team to just one run on six sporadic hits. For the week, she pitched 17.0 innings with six strikeouts, while compiling two wins, a save and a 1.65 ERA.
This honor was the first of her career and third of the season for the Red Foxes. Following Danielle Koltz‘ (Chenango Bridge, N.Y.) MAAC Player of the Week nod on February 28, freshman Melanie White (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) was named MAAC Rookie of the Week last Monday, March 19.
The Red Foxes (10-17) will continue their non-conference schedule with a twinbill at Hartford on Wednesday, March 28. The first pitch of Game One is slated for 2:30 p.m.
